Tai Chi / Qi Gong – Tues & Thurs, 11 a.m. – Helps with balance, muscle control, and strength while contributing to an overall feeling of well-being and stress release. All levels. Keith Thomas, certified instructor. *
Tone & Flex – Mon, Wed, Fri 9 a.m. – General strength, balance, and flexibility exercises using bands,
balance balls, and weights. All levels. Donna Sue Dowton, YMCA certified instructor. *
Gentle Yoga – Tues, 12:00 p.m. – With assistance of chair, exercises, stretches and proper breathing. Kati Walker, certified instructor. *

Reflections – Woman’s friendship groups supporting each other through the transitions of a mature woman's life. Three Groups meet, two in Chatham and one in Madison. Call for schedules and information.
S.H.I.P. – 2nd Thurs of each month – Medicare counselor Burt Powell assists with insurance issues.
AARP Tax Aide – Thursdays from Feb – April 15. Free preparation and filing of tax returns
Health Screenings – Blood pressure readings and other screenings by Overlook Hosp.
Medi Alert buttons – Monitoring for those living alone with chronic medical conditions. *
~~~~~ARTS and LEISURE SUPPORT SERVICES Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) 2nd Thursday of each month, 1 to 3 p.m., a Medicare counselor is available at the Senior Center to help with decisions and questions about Medicare claims, choosing Medigap policies, and Medicare D. Please call for an appointment. AARP Free Tax Aide available for everyone of low to moderate income every Thursday by appointment during the tax season. Senior Bus Transportation is available for senior residents of Chatham Borough and Chatham Township on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9 to 2 p.m. Health Screenings and lectures periodically for a variety of topics and conditions including arthritis, cholesterol, heart health, vision, hearing and stroke screenings, diabetes, memory issues, fall prevention and much more. Balance testing is done several times a year at the Senior Center. Blood Pressure checks Monday through Friday by one of two registered nurses. Call first at 973-635-4565 to be sure one of the nurses is working. Flu vaccination is available for Chatham Township residents every fall at the Senior Center by the Madison Health Department. Vaccine is given at St. Patrick Church for Chatham Borough residents. Information and Referral services for seniors and their families are available five days a week. Call for information about senior housing, home care, transportation options, assisted living, continuing care retirement communities, social services, support groups and more. Medi-Alert units (PERSYS) are available through the Senior Center using a company called Amcest. If a Chatham resident is a participant in PAAD, costs for the units are paid for by Senior Services with the help of the Chatham Jaycees. The staff of the Senior Center also recommends participation in the Operation Reassurance program offered by the Chatham Township and Chatham Borough Police Departments. Arts & Crafts – Tues – Many items sold to benefit the Sr. Center and for St. Pat’s Santa Shop. No special skills needed. Great conversation a bonus!
Bridge – Mon – Several tables from novice to experienced.
Canasta – Tues – Easy to learn card game. Players will instruct beginners.
Friday’s Foreign Film – monthly – Variety of foreign films.
Mah Jongg – Wed – Chinese tile game. Players will instruct beginners.
Movies – Thurs (Fri from Feb – April) – Latest DVD releases on large screen TV.
Nifty Knitters – Wed – Needlework group. Make newborn hats for Overlook and Trinitas Hospitals, lap robes for veterans, blankets for the Linus project, & more.
Scrabble – Wed – Test your word power with this friendly group on Wednesdays
Trips – Day bus trips to museums, attractions, gardens, theater and more. *
